UK artist, It’s Knock looks across the Atlantic to the origins of graffiti to inspire their bright and bold lettering.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background as an artist.
I’m a graffiti artist from Kent in the UK. I started back in 2009 and spent many years teaching myself the art of graffiti and letters!
What inspires you and where do you look for inspiration?
I found inspiration as an artist from American subway art! Those guys are graffiti pioneers, and I developed my style from them.
Which medium do you work with the most and why?
My favourite medium has to be paint markers on cardboard! Because I love how smoothly they work together!
What advice would you give aspiring artists?
My top tip for aspiring artists is to keep practising and to always stay positive about what you are creating!
If you could be anything besides an artist, what would you be, and why?
I am also a singer. So, I would be that as well as a graffiti artist!
