When did you first start drawing/experimenting with inks/ crafting? I have been crafting/drawing/colouring my whole life, since I could hold a pencil.
What made you start? When I was a little girl, it was my favorite past-time - my parents encouraged being creative very much. Later life took over, but still, in quiet moments, I’d get out paper and pencils and draw. Now, since I’ve sold my business (I used to have a campsite to run) I’m drawing, colouring and crafting full time.
Are you a full-time artist or is this a hobby that you love to do? I’m not a real artist in the respect that I’m paid for my work (other than sometimes selling cards I make)
What inspires your art? Anything from pictures I have taken, to Youtube videos, or even thoughts in my head
What’s your top tip for marker art/lettering/alcohol inks? When working with markers I always try to add texture to what I colour, not just smooth blending. I use a little coloured pencil to deepen shadows, or add highlights where needed.
What is your favourite Spectrum Noir product? Tough one. But it would be the markers and the inks.I just love the markers and the marker pad to work on/with. The Harmony water reactive ink pads are wonderful to create backgrounds with.
Which Spectember theme/prompt have you chosen and why? I have chosen #3 Cute Companions, because I can combine my love for markers and inks with a cute digi stamp. I also chose #20 because I love doodling and Zentangling. I chose #24 Furtastic, also because of combining my love for markers and inks with cute images. Finally I chose #27 because I love creating backgrounds with inks.
When did you start working on the Spectrum Noir design team? I started on the CC Designteam a year ago, and for Spectrum Noir I started only this year, in June.
