My name is Lucinda Lucker, I am from Wales but currently living in Bristol, England where I own a restaurant with my husband. I have been crafting since the tender age of 5. I have been slowly becoming a colourist over the last 10 years mostly using markers. I used to watch Crafters Companion on Create & Craft and my first craft purchase was the Ultimate Pro. I used to buy kits but started falling in love with the little stamp collections and quickly realised I needed to practice my colouring. Crafting is very much a hobby for me, although I'm always doing something when I'm not working. I have to be creating something, my hands need to be busy.
My top tip for colouring is to take your time, every piece you do is a practice piece and to be cherished as much as the last. You don't need a full set of pens to achieve great pictures. Always do your swatch and pick out a few core colour blends.
My favourite SN product are the Triblends. Whilst I love all of the markers, I love the fact that this set can travel with me. Whenever we go on holiday, the car is loaded with all of my pens, can you imagine the space that takes up, not to mention they all fall out of order!!! The Triblends have their carry case and I'm lucky enough to have both full sets, that's 144 of the core colours.
Which Spectember theme/prompt have you chosen and why? In all honesty, I was late to the party lol! I got day 7, which is your favourite colour. I chose to use Harmony Opaque Pigment inkpads - why? The inkpads are new to me and after using them for my last allocation I was really getting into using them. Since their launch I had watched a few tutorials, seen some of the other examples and just wanted to play a bit more. I'm using them on most of my creations now, so I guess these come a very close second of my favourite SN products.
When did you start working on the Spectrum Noir design team? My time on the team has been short, joining at the beginning of the year but receiving my first allocation only a month ago.
