When did you first start drawing/experimenting with inks/ crafting? I have always been busy with crafts since I was little but I got into cardmaking in 2007 as I was looking around for an hobby. I had been sculpting polymerclay fantasy figurines, making jewelry and giving workshops in how to make the dragons, fairies and beads/ pendants for about 10 years. But my hands where giving me problems with carpal tunnel syndroom so I had to look for something else to do. And found some cute stamps so I pulled out my old watercoloring pencils and pastels from my schooltime and started coloring and now 12 years later I am still coloring and making cards.
Are you a full-time artist or is this a hobby that you love to do? I would say it is an addiction. I am doing this fulltime as my hobby. I try to play at least a couple hours a day.
What inspires your art? Everything especially the color purple, that is the name of my craftroom, The Purplelicious Kingdom.
What’s your top tip for marker art/lettering/alcohol inks? Try them all out but do not give up after a second mess up!
Rome wasn’t build in a day either! So give yourself the time to play and learn how each coloring technique has it’s own benefits. Like when coloring a stamp with the alcohol markers and your not happy with how it turned out, use some Colourblends to enhance your stamped image, add some more shades/ depth with the pencils and your image will look much better.
What is your favourite Spectrum Noir product? Really??? I love them all. It just depends in what mood I am on a dark day I rather grab the alcohol markers while on a sunny day I like to play with my aquablends and colourtint pencils. Is my mojo low I grab my inkpads, sparkle pens, aquatints and blend and make backgrounds for future projects, as You do not have to think much when using these. And the results are always pretty.
Which Spectember theme/prompt have you chosen and why? Stamp it is one of the ones I picked, as stamps are the reason I got to know Spectrum Noir.
I am trying to play alot of the days on my blog using all the different themes. I am a challenge addict so more excuses to play hahaha.
When did you start working on the Spectrum Noir design team? I am fairly new on the Spectrum Noir DT. I joined July 2019 but have been a fan ever since the first alcohol marker came out.
