When did you first start drawing/experimenting with inks/ crafting? My grandfather was a great daughtsman and my mum loves to draw and paint, so I guess it's in the blood. I can remember always having paints and crafty stuff to play with, looking back I think I was very lucky
What made you start? I think having a fantastic art teacher made me concentrate my skills, and I was lucky enough to work as a picture framer for quite a while which let me see all kinds of beautiful peices of art. But as with most people, life had other plans and my family took priority. Now they're all grown up I've found my arty mojo and am absolutely loving it!!
Are you a full-time artist or is this a hobby that you love to do? I’m a full time teaching assistant so this is a wonderful hobby.
What inspires your art? Colours! I love seeing the colours in nature changing with the seasons, watching the sun set over the beach. On the flip side I love street art and graffiti. I guess my inspiration is a bit eclectic
What’s your top tip for marker art/lettering/alcohol inks? Play, at the end of the day it's just paper and ink. The more you play the more you discover your own style.
What is your favourite Spectrum Noir product? Can I say all??? I think if I had to choose I'd say colourblend pencils and Triblends. Love!!!
When did you start working on the Spectrum Noir design team? I've been with the DT team for about a year and a Crafters Companion demonstrator for about 3. I love it, I get to play with fantastic products and have a whole new audience to show them to.
